COOPER ISLAND
This tiny unspoiled island is a beautiful five-mile trip across the Sir Francis Drake Channel from Tortola. There are white sand beaches and no roads. Only four privately owned properties are on the island. The Cooper Island Beach Club is also located on Cooper Island at Manchionel Bay. They have twelve guest rooms, a restaurant and beach bar. Sail Caribbean and Sea Grape Boutique are also located in this area.
BEACH HOUSE
The Beach House is right on the Beach and was designed for just two people. It has an open plan with queen size bed, kitchen, bathroom with shower and an outdoor shower, too. A deck wraps around two sides of the cottage. The 8000-gallon cistern is under the house where the rainwater is stored. The house is nicely landscaped and the beach is attractive with palm trees, oleander and cactus.
THE HIDEAWAY
The Hideaway is 50 feet above the beach with spectacular views of the sea and other islands. There is a partially covered forty-foot porch with an unroofed area for sunning. The living/dining room area is 35 feet long and ells into the kitchen. The bedroom and bath are separate. The living room is used for seating and extra sleeping if needed. There are plenty of windows for breezes to enter. A short path through oleander, hibicus and other plantings takes you to the beach where there are palm trees and lounge chairs. The house sits on a 12,000-gallon cistern and there is a workroom next to it.
